Sepia Says..... Water Under the Bridge

Hello Friends, and Well-Wishers.....  

The phrase caught my attention this week......as the shipmen sailed under/alongside a bridge.....

Life is much like.... Water Under the Bridge!

I know a few things about the Nature of Water.....

All the waters run to the sea and yet the sea is not full, and from the place where they began, thither they return again....   Ecclesiastes

Water is the only substance on earth that is naturally present in three different forms...........  as a liquid, as a solid, and as a gas (water vapor) !

Water is the only drink for a wise man....Henry David Thoreau 

Mixed emotions of all is well for the week ending 4-9-2016.   Celebrating the 32nd Birth Year of my baby daughter........  But on 4-7-2016 -- the passing of my 84 Year Old Cousin in Chicago Illinois.

Just awed that his voice is silenced.... hence.... WATER UNDER THE BRIDGE

I noted its meaning .... 

Something that has happened in the past, 

something that cannot be undone, and 

something or someone.... who can no longer be a consideration.     

Under the bridge.... is British in its origin and 

is the oldest part of the interesting proverb

This image really portrays the silence, tranquility, 

but 'aloneness' that I kinda feel today.

Not much sadness -- just solemn

My neighborhood has a wonderful lake that I walk a couple of miles fairly often

....

...hmmmm   when is the last time I've been on a BOAT.... via a cruise maybe...???   Well last year or so.... there was the awesome, gorgeous waters of my Central Florida mini-vacation..... AHHHHH

My Brother is an avid golfer.  That being said... there is only one time that I've seen him play golf.   hmnnnnn.....  He's not a selfie taker/ not an iphoner... hmnnn

Hubby's mom was the church generation of cassettes of sermons.  The cassette player in the car!

I Love a Good Research Adventure

This comes on the heels of a phone call 8-10 weeks ago from a Black Guy -- little younger than me.. and he said his DNA results matched him to my cousin in my Ancestry family tree.   Smith name.

Shall I believe .... I've been 'a-diggin!

In Frederick, OK: Why did they bully . . my brother?

It hurts... it saddens my heart... it turns over and over as a worry in my thoughts.

Bullying is the use of force, threat, or coercion to abuse, intimidate, or aggressively dominate another person.  Bullying is often repeated and habitual.

I sat at the dinner table with my oldest brother Howard Huggins.....Earlier this month I'd called him to ask where did he attend - 1st thru -12th  grades... So I could fill in my daddy's timeline of our family having lived in Frederick, OK, then Chickasha, OK and finally Oklahoma City, OK (he Pastored in these towns and in Geary, OK also.)  

He told me he spent one half/yr of his 7th grade in Frederick -- and the second half in Chickasha, OK.  I didn't think of the details of Why?

Howard Jr leaned back and talked in his usual slow-deliberate fashion.  He said that in the seventh grade.... the teacher showed great incompetence and was later removed from the school system in allowing student behavior to get out of control.... Another reason for the teacher's dismissal was that he used abusive/excessive force in discipline.  He used an airconditioner fan belt... I think Howard said.  He knew exactly what he was talking about.... and I still can't picture such a strap....???  

How are you? How am I?

I'm a little better than I was last year.

Yet doing my work from the chair.

Am I pleased?

Why I say I am.

The complaint keeps me in a jam.

Mississipi Roots ~ Relative Discoveries!

Two of my brothers (James Travis and Wendell Ray) extended the June wedding of Valerie Huggins/Carter in St Louis MO..... over to Chicago IL in order to hook up with our first cousins!  We are Mama' Dooley's grandkids!


Ask.... and it shall be given..... oh me oh my!
